I’m dead sexy!

I ran down to HMS Motorsport yesterday to pick up some high density padding for the roll cage and try on fire suits. I’ve lost enough weight to start looking for uniforms and, I’ve got to say, I’m dead sexy in a fire suit. Sizing is still a little weird…my body is a 56 but […]

US Customs pulled their head out of their ass…

I finally got a direct dial number to the US Customs office and bypassed the UPS Customs Brokerage. Inspector Hillman was more than happy to help me track down the DMS50s and find out why they’d been sitting idle in the warehouse. After verifying all of my information, getting values on the packages and running […]

Torn boots…

At first glance I thought my CV boots were torn. Turns out that I had just glanced under the car quickly and was actually looking at the protective boots for my steering rack. Still a big deal, but less of a big deal than the CV boots.

Thank the media for the traffic jam.

If yesterday’s truck accident wasn’t bad enough, rubberneckers and news crews caused a huge tieup and traffic jam hours after the accident was completely cleaned up yesterday. During rush hour on the commute home, dozens of reporters, multiple news vans, satellite vans and state troopers were still camped out in the grass at the junction […]

Damage Studios is an equal opportunity employer, unless you’re a previous SCO employee. Giggle.

The Snap Server 2200 isn’t worth the plastic it’s housed in…

Our Snap Server 2200 has failed for the third time in 12 months resulting in total data loss. The first time was due to a software hiccup where the disk lost its drive configuration. The second and third times were due to physical disk failure. Since the disk was configured for RAID0 (striping), a single […]

DMS50s held up in US Customs…

Lachute shipped out my DMS50s at the end August and they’re still sitting at US Customs being torn down and inspected. No idea when they’ll be showing up. Bastards.

I kind of feel like God…

It’s rather unnerving to get into Route 128 South at 9:45 AM during the peak of rush hour and to be the only car on the road. No cars on front of me all the way to the hill. No cars behind me, except for a rolled over tanker. Woah.

I decommissioned wastegate…

Well, wastegate.tsd.trunkmonkey.com was finally decommissioned this evening. The last of the Web sites were finally moved over to boost.tsd.trunkmonkey.com (Athlon XP 2400+). It’s amusing that wastegate (P2/400) was a Linux box that I confiscated from an old customer for non-payment and served me well for an additional two and a half years. Ohwell…one less server […]
