I used to hang out quite a bit with the freaks from the Nashua, NH BBS scene back in the day. Yes, the BBS scene. 2400 bps (that’s 2.4 Kbps as opposed to today’s 56 Kbps for you new school kiddies) modems screaming along connecting to one line standalone Waffle, Renegade, Telegard and Wildcat systems running off of 386 and, quite rarely, 486 machines. If you were lucky, the system you connected to had well over a hundred megabytes of hard drive space that you could use to trade hefty 300 KB and 400 KB warez files!

Best hostess ever…
Last night, Kris, Andrew, James and myself headed out to Longhorn Steakhouse in Manch Vegas, NH for an evening testosterone-laden conversation over freshly-prepared slightly-dead creatures. Although Kris and James aren’t on Atkins, they respected the wishes of Andrew and myself and agreed to eat at an establishment where a low-carb dinner wouldn’t consist of a special order and the waste a perfectly good bun or tortilla.

EAS AdvantEdge for $0.53 per bar!
I hate to say it, but I may find myself dropping $68.04 on a case of 36 EAS AdvantEdge energy bars! The cost breakdown works out to $0.53 per bar instead of the usual $1.50 to $2.00 per bar at WalMart. Perhaps I’ll see if Andrew, my partner in crime, wants to split an order.
